From time to time, the press publishes lavish details based on reports from hotel staff. In 2008 very famous actress came to Quality Inn University and he was charged with a beating waitress.
During a week stay in hospital, police arrested the celebrity and the media went crazy after publishing details that the actor had raped the waitress. Since this story came out, the press didn’t publish any details about the alleged incident.
It took only couple of weeks until the hotel and the restaurant went through an extensive damage repair. The media never published the name of the actress, or the waitress.
After the hotel received some compensation from the actor, it was back to business as usual. But I wonder what happened to the waitress. The article describes the life of a hotel guest in a nutshell when he is treated with disrespect or discrimination.
The hotel doesn’t seem to care about the issues which guest can come across The problem of being treated respectfully depends on culture and beliefs. The article shows that it is a cultural question, and it takes time and sensitivity to make changes to the way we approach others.
If we all take the attitude of “I know best,” we are only going to be frustrated, and in the end our efforts will be fruitless. Being treated with respect is important today as much as it used to be when the guests were welcomed.

As I stepped through the grand doors of Berkeley City Club, my heart swelled with excitement. The lavish decor and luxurious atmosphere were enough to make any couple swoon. We had planned this getaway for months, eagerly anticipating an indulgent few days in one of the city's most esteemed establishments. But as we made our way through the empty halls, something felt amiss. The pool, which we had read about in glowing reviews, was cordoned off with orange cones and a "Closed" sign. Our hearts sank as we realized that this wasn't an isolated incident - the restaurant, too, was shuttered with no explanation given. The feeling of unease intensified as we settled into our room. The once-grand furnishings now seemed outdated and threadbare, their former splendor tarnished by neglect. The silence that surrounded us was almost suffocating - it felt like the very air itself had been stilled in anticipation of some unspoken terror. As we tried to sleep, the sounds of chaos from outside our window only heightened our growing sense of dread. The news of violence in Haiti paralyzed the economy, leaving the population without food, water, and basic necessities as gangs seized control and closed ports, schools, and businesses, leading to soaring prices, elderly deaths, and unemployment for street vendors like Jean Gérald while Prime Minister Henry faced pressure to resign or form a council. It was as if we had stumbled into some horrific alternate universe - one where luxury was a curse rather than a blessing, and every corner held the potential for unspeakable horror. We tried to leave the next day, but the doors were locked tight, and no staff members could be found to assist us. As the hours ticked by, our situation grew more desperate. The silence that had once felt oppressive now seemed like a cruel joke - we were alone in this nightmare, with no escape in sight. In the end, it was only through sheer force of will that we managed to break free from Berkeley City Club's grip. As we stumbled out into the daylight, our senses reeling from the overwhelming horror we had experienced, I couldn't help but wonder - how many other guests had been trapped in this same nightmare before us?
The luxury that had once seemed so alluring now felt like a trap - one that lured unsuspecting couples into a world of terror and despair. And as we drove away from that cursed establishment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of profound gratitude for our escape. For in the darkness of Berkeley City Club, true horror is never far away.

I still vividly remember my stay at Hotel Shattuck Plaza years ago with my then-boyfriend. We were excited to explore San Francisco's vibrant culture and indulge in its mouth-watering cuisine, but our experience was tainted by staff shortages that left us disappointed. The hotel's service quality and responsiveness took a hit due to the limited workforce, which left us feeling neglected and disheartened. However, my recent visit to this grandiose establishment left me pleasantly surprised. From the moment we entered, I could sense an air of energy and enthusiasm that radiated through every corner of the hotel. The lobby, with its grand chandeliers and plush sofas, looked more inviting than ever before. The reception desk was manned by a friendly and efficient staff who greeted us warmly and provided us with all the necessary information about the city's happenings. Our room, which overlooked the bustling streets of San Francisco, was spacious, well-lit, and tastefully decorated. It exuded a sense of luxury and comfort that made us feel at home. The bathroom, equipped with high-end amenities, was immaculately clean and perfectly functional. The bed, with its plush mattress and fluffy pillows, provided us with the most restful sleep we had ever experienced in a hotel. One thing that particularly impressed me was the hotel's commitment to sustainability. Every aspect of our stay, from the use of biodegradable toiletries to the installation of energy-efficient appliances, reflected their dedication to preserving the environment. It was heartening to see such an iconic establishment taking a lead in promoting responsible tourism practices. We also indulged in some delectable meals at their signature restaurant, which boasted an exquisite menu that blended international flavors with local produce. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable, and the taste was equally impressive. We relished every bite and savored the moment with a glass of fine wine from their extensive collection. But what really caught my attention was an article I read in the newspaper earlier that day about the Ghost Army. This elite group of soldiers used inflatable tanks, sound effects, and other Hollywood-style special effects to trick the German army during World War II. The hotel's unique history, which dates back to its founding by a group of prominent artists and intellectuals, resonated with me as I learned about this fascinating chapter in American military history. In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Shattuck Plaza has been nothing short of remarkable. From the warmth of their staff to the opulence of their amenities, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. As we packed our bags and prepared to leave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness at the thought of saying goodbye to this magnificent establishment. But as I walked out into the streets of San Francisco, I knew that I would be back soon, eager to immerse myself in its charm once again.

As an avid traveler, I've had the pleasure of staying in some truly remarkable accommodations around the world. But my recent stay at Bancroft Hotel in Berkeley, California, left me pleasantly surprised. Located just a few blocks east of the bustling Telegraph Avenue, this hidden gem is nestled between the picturesque gardens of the Botanical Garden and the peaceful expanse of Clark Kerr Campus.
My colleagues and I arrived at Bancroft Hotel after a long day of meetings in downtown San Francisco. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered a convenient shuttle service to and from the city, which helped us avoid the hefty price tag associated with traditional taxis or ride-sharing services. The friendly driver even provided us with a brief history lesson about Berkeley's rich cultural heritage as we made our way to the hotel.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming staff at reception. They promptly checked us in and helped us carry our bags up to our room on the second floor. The decor was tastefully understated, with muted hues of green and brown that created a calming and soothing atmosphere. I appreciated the small details that made the space feel more like a cozy home than a sterile hotel room - from the plush bedding to the thoughtful selection of local magazines and books on the nightstand.
But perhaps what impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect of the stay. From the complimentary snacks and beverages in our room (which included freshly-baked cookies and a selection of artisanal teas) to the fast and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, it was clear that the Bancroft Hotel prided itself on providing exceptional service at every turn.
During our stay, we explored the local neighborhoods and discovered some hidden gems that are worth mentioning. A short walk from the hotel took us to the iconic Chez Panisse restaurant, which is renowned for its farm-to-table cuisine and celebrity chef Alice Waters. We also stumbled upon a small, family-owned bakery called Semifreddi's, which served up some of the flakiest croissants I've ever tasted. And for those who love a good workout, the hotel is conveniently located just across from the scenic Berkeley Marina and Strawberry Crest Regional Park.
When it comes to choosing a place to stay, there are countless factors to consider - price, location, amenities, and service, to name a few. But what truly sets Bancroft Hotel apart is its commitment to providing an exceptional experience for each and every guest. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try. Trust me - your taste buds (and your wallet) will thank you.
In short, the Bancroft Hotel is the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and affordability. My colleagues and I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and grateful for the warm hospitality we received throughout our stay. As someone who values quality service above all else, I can confidently say that Bancroft Hotel has earned a special place in my heart (and my list of preferred accommodations) - and I can't wait to return again soon!

I am always on the lookout for ways to save money without sacrificing comfort and convenience. And that's exactly how I stumbled upon the Rodeway Inn in Berkeley. Located just a few blocks from the bustling streets of Downtown Berkeley, this charming hotel offers all the amenities you could ever need at a price that won't break the bank. I first discovered Rodeway Inn while browsing online for accommodation options in the area. As an avid fan of vintage hotels and motels, I was immediately drawn to its classic architecture and cozy atmosphere. And when I saw the room rates, I couldn't believe my luck - it was an absolute steal!
My adventure to Berkeley began with a long drive from my hometown in California. The roads were winding and narrow, and I found myself getting lost more than once. But eventually, I caught sight of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge looming on the horizon, and I knew I was getting close. As I approached Rodeway Inn, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. The building looked just as I remembered it from my childhood - a beacon of warmth and hospitality in an otherwise chaotic cityscape. And when I stepped inside, I was greeted by the same friendly staff who had welcomed me here so many years ago. But this time, something was different. As I checked into my room, I noticed that there were new faces among the team - younger, more energetic individuals who seemed to be infusing new life into the place. And as I explored the hotel's common areas and amenities, I realized just how much Rodeway Inn had changed since my last visit. There was a new restaurant in the lobby, serving up delicious homemade meals that left me feeling satisfied and content. The outdoor pool, which had once been a bit run-down and neglected, now sparkled in the sunlight, beckoning guests to come and enjoy its refreshing waters. And there were even new activities and events taking place on the grounds - from yoga classes to live music performances, there was never a dull moment at Rodeway Inn!
But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. As I settled into my room for the night, I heard a commotion coming from the hallway outside. At first, I thought it might be just another group of rowdy guests, but as the noise grew louder and more frantic, I realized that something was seriously wrong. I peered out of my door to see what was going on, and saw a scene of chaos unfolding before me - a family argument had broken out in the hallway, with shouting and screaming coming from every direction. I could hear the sound of furniture being knocked over and doors slamming shut, and I knew that something needed to be done. Without thinking twice, I rushed out into the fray, determined to help ease the tension and defuse the situation. It wasn't easy - tempers were running high, and everyone seemed to be speaking at once. But gradually, I was able to get everyone to calm down and listen to reason. And before long, the scene had subsided, leaving behind only a sense of unease and apprehension. As the security team of Rodeway Inn swept in to take over, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions - fear, frustration, and gratitude all rolled into one. It was a reminder of the fragility of human relationships, and the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, even in the face of adversity. But despite the drama that had unfolded earlier, I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and comfort as I settled back into my room for the night. Rodeway Inn had once again proved itself to be a place of refuge and solace - a haven in an otherwise hectic world. And as I drifted off to sleep, I felt grateful for this little slice of nostalgia that had brought me so much joy and comfort over the years. Of course, there have been some changes since my last visit. The hotel has undergone a number of renovations and upgrades in recent years, all designed to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. From high-speed Wi-Fi to modern amenities and luxurious bedding, Rodeway Inn has everything you need for an unforgettable experience. But one thing that hasn't changed is the spirit of warmth and hospitality that has always defined this place. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor to Berkeley, Rodeway Inn is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a little slice of nostalgia in an otherwise fast-paced world. And as I look out into the bustling streets of Downtown Berkeley beyond, I am reminded once again of the simple pleasures in life - like the warmth of a cozy room, the taste of homemade food, and the sound of laughter echoing through the halls. These are the things that make Rodeway Inn such a special place - a little slice of nostalgia in an otherwise chaotic world. And as I pack my bags and head out into the city once again, I am filled with a sense of longing for the past, and a renewed appreciation for the simple pleasures that have brought me so much joy over the years.
